An assignment to photograph the Singapore Army several years ago covered activities not just in
The Republic of Singapore, but took me to remote training areas the SAF has set up in Australia, New
Zealand and Brunei. 70,000km later I had taken enough photos of our men in khaki to put on a one
man exhibition. It was officially opened in Raffles City by the Singapore Minister of Defense, Dr. Tony
Tan. A coffee table book of my personal impressions of the SAF along with a more comprehensive
collection of over 100 of the Army photographs was later produced. These photos are only a small
selection taken from that book and will be added to from time to time.
